We are proud to have received a number of prestigious awards in recognition of our whole school community's commitment, dedication and achievements.

Primary Science Quality Mark

We have been awarded the Primary Science Quality Mark in recognition of the high quality science provision, teaching, learning and leadership within our school. This award celebrates the commitment to excellence we have to Science and acknowledges how we have;

  • Raised the profile of Science
  • Increased the range and quality of teaching and learning in Science
  • Promoted and spread good practice in Science teaching and learning

We remain committed to developing Science for our children and are proud to be working with the Ogden Trust to develop our expertise further to support this.

Modeshift Stars - Gold Award

We received the Modeshift Stars Silver Award in recognition of our fabulous campaigns to promote sustainable travel. Our pupils worked tirelessly to raise awareness of the issues surrounding safe, sustainable travel. They supported campaigns such as “Park, Ride and Stride” and “Safe Parking Near School” and they modelled travelling sustainably wherever possible on school trips.

Due to their enthusiasm for the campaigns, our school was nominated by our local authority for the National STARS School Travel Awards for the outstanding work that we have done to encourage more young people to walk, cycle and use other forms of sustainable travel to get to school and attended the STARS Regional Awards event for the NW, Yorkshire and The Humber. We were delighted to have been invited and nominated for an award. We were extremely proud to have been awarded the Leeds STARS Primary School of the year.

Top Sports Award - The School Games GOLD Award!

The Sainsbury’s School Games Mark is a Government led scheme to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community. Schools in England are assessed across bronze, silver and gold levels of the quality mark. Each year we have improved our award from Bronze (2014-15), Silver (2015-16) up to Gold (2016-17) and consistently sustain Gold every year...a great achievement!

Achieving** GOLD** demonstrates that pupils have the widest range of clubs and activities in which to participate. Kippax North has also embraced external sporting opportunities and established strong pupil sport leadership programmes. Thank you to all the parents and carers who have supported PE and Games helping us to achieve this fantastic award.

Space Education Quality Mark - Silver Award

We were awarded the Space Education Quality Mark in recognition of all the curriculum enrichment deepening children's awareness of space through Tim Peake's adventures.
